My 1st ever Needlepoint

This is my first ever needlepoint project and the design was by Loretta Spears (I think that she is now either chronically ill or deceased and her designs are no longer available unless on Ebay or somewhere similar) this is one of her series of Mystery Designs.

I was only able to attempt this and complete it with the help of my wonderful friend Pierrette who held my hand from start to finish.

We chat daily but for around five weeks we not only chatted but exchanged photos of Bargello Symphony daily where she stood over me with a big stick (LOL).

This is the end result, Pierrette also completed the same project along side me for herself, however I changed mine very slightly as I always like to be different. If you view hers see if you can see the difference and I do not mean the way that she has mounted and framed hers.

William Morris Design

This was a kit that I purchased at a show for the silly price of £5 it took some time to finish but once I got stuck in I could not stop.

It was originally for a cushion cover but I decided to mount it, to date its still not framed but is laced onto a board and all ready to go.

Crazy Quilting

This is a companion Cushion Cover that I made as a gift to compliment the autumn/fall one I had previously made for Pierrette.

This is a memory Cushion with photos I printed onto fabric and incoportated into the cover of some of Pierrette's and her husbands dear departed loved ones

Crazy Quilting

This was my first attempt at making a large CQ cushion cover for my very dear friend Pierrette.
I tried to use all autumnal/fall colours as I know that they are her favourites

Goldwork Angel

This is a goldwork kit that I changed slightly by creating the hair with
a rayon thread and with a drizzle stitch instead of using the gold wire
as it seems to harsh for hair.
The wings are separate and made with an organza fabric attached to wire
and buttonhole stitched and then cut out and attached to the moire backing
fabric that the angel is embroidered on.
This same angel kit is featured on this months edition of Classic Stitches

Some Tiny Boxers shorts made for fun

These are a couple of minature Boxers that I made for fun for Roland who is Pierrette's husband.

This pair is made in Dupion silk for Sundays

This pair is made in cotton for weekdays.

Brazilian Embroidery

This was my first attempt at designing and creating some Brazilian Embroidery. I made this for a birthday gift for a friend.

A lot of people think there is a mystery surrounding BDE but I found it quite easy once you master the slippery rayon threads
